Our Comprehensive Internal Safety Program
At Medford Wellington, we work tirelessly to integrate Workplace Health & Safety into the very culture of our company. We do so by:
Educating our employees on the best practices to conduct themselves safely in any environment. Arming our team with the most meticulous cleanup procedure protocols. Using classroom training and onsite experience to train our technicians in-depth and in the field. Inviting industry-specific guest consultants to conduct key aspects of safety training. Disseminating relevant, real-time Weekly Safety Communications. Conducting on-the-spot quality assurance checks. Continuously reinventing and refining our training programs to stay consistent with the times we live in.
Above and beyond that, our Comprehensive Internal Safety Program includes:
A 24-hour New Hire Training that covers crucial on-the-job safety curriculum like ladder safety, fall prevention, PPE administration, on-site housekeeping, lockout tagout, electrical safety, fire prevention and awareness, portable lift training, driver training and more. A “Stop Work Authority” protocol where technicians inform superiors if they feel unsafe or are experiencing work conditions that pose a potential threat. A multi-department Accident Investigation Team that convenes to determine accident causes, solutions, outcomes and lessons learned. Monthly Safety Committee meetings. Weekly “Tool Box Talks” to keep field employees current on key safety innovations and changes. Incentivized Employee Safety Recognition Plans. A Hazard Recognition Program. A comprehensive Internal Safety Manual and Accident Reporting System. Management and third-party-led site safety inspections. In-house technical support teams for HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing and Electrical services.
